Portrait of a Home is a mixed-media abstraction on canvas that explores the visual and emotional architecture of home, not as a physical place but as something remembered, felt and continuously reassembled. Developed through repetitive cycles and processes of image-making, collage and sculptural experimentation, the work emerged through layers of construction, deconstruction, and rediscovery. The processes I was committed to allowed me to think about places I used to call home in various perspectives sometimes debating with myself what really makes a place a home. Is home the physical structure, the atmosphere created by the inhabitants, the inhabitants themselves? Can a person be a home and is home a person? Well here's a portrait of my home.
