Born in Latvia and raised in a Russian household whilst studying in London, there was an opportunity and need to developed a broad perspective on culture, identity and belonging through integration and adaption. This has shaped the perception and perspective of said identity and its norms, aesthetics, and emotional depth behind visual communication and storytelling. This insight is prevalent in works across multiple practices ranging in Installation, sculpture, painting, photography, music production and fashion design or fashion styling, often letting media overlap in organic ways.

My practice is often driven and inspired by curiosity and observation of culture, social constructs, the fluidity of identity and the psychological impact of nature. When working I’m drawn to organic beauty, manufactured feeling of bliss and deep exploration of natural human feelings. Often selfishly looking inward to analyse and understand the experience of life in our day and age. Expressing that through visual communication with intent to relate to the viewer, to find a connection or a relation, perhaps to understand myself through the viewer.

Swaying between Installation works that mostly explore Philosophy, Paintings focused on social constructs and expressions of identity and sketches that imply a specific narrative through visual language.

My paintings have been commissioned in independent, Swedish, arthouse films, contributing to visual narratives exploring mood, character, and atmosphere. I have also participated in exhibitions created in collaboration with the WWF Foundation, connecting my artistic practice to global conversations on nature and environmental awareness.
